The event aims to recreate the historical trading and weighing of cheeses that has been taking place in Gouda for centuries. 2021Snow is not a common sight in the Netherlands – winter rarely falls below freezing and any snow that does fall melts long before it can pile up on the ground. This year, it has snowed, in February, and these days ware full of joy. Although spring temperatures have already climbed above 20ºCelsius, in April we saw a rare snowfall, which resulted in the unique occurrence of snow falling amongst delicate Blossoms. Unfortunately, this scene did not last for very long but it left stunning visual memories and it has been inspiration for many of us.

2021We often search for a sense of peace and quiet, tranquillity. It is the feeling that we have while sitting under a starry sky, listening to the sea or crickets. An emotional state, the quality of a calm experienced in places with mainly natural features and activities, free from disturbance from man-made areas.... A feeling that we have while looking at gentle colour fusion.Blue has tremendous power to manage stress. It's a very soothing colour that helps calm your mind.Green is a restful and quiet colour. Because it symbolizes nature, green is one of the most beautiful and comforting colours that attracts harmonious feelings that can diffuse anxiety and helps us stay calm and refreshed. Beige greens and pale yellow-greens are the most stress-reducing shades in the green family. Pink is another colour that promotes tranquillity and peace. It's peacefulness promotes balance of your energies.

The colour schemes tend to be more bright and more diverse. We all wear more patterned clothes. Vibrant pinks, blues, greens and reds – these colours evoke a sense of joy and celebration. This paintings was painted in Bulgaria during short visit there. A large canvas framed in simply made framing painted to continue the colours of the painting. The depth of the framing is 4,5 cm. The width of the framing is 7 mm.

2019This painting is inspired by the many roses in the Bulgarian rose valley situated in the central part of Bulgaria my country of origin. It is not only the shades of rose colours I am fascinate by, but also the irresistible scent of this valley covered with fresh blooming roses in May and June.

The painting is made with layers of contrasting reds including carmine, magenta, terracotta, orange, metallic copper and azure blues and purple. The metallic copper paint cause an almost shimmering effect like a light breeze coming through the poppies at sunset.

I stood in front of this very large canvas after long time waiting for nice and dry weather so I could paint it outside after I realized a long time ago that could not get it into my studio because the staircase is too narrow. Of course it was a very nice day, pleasant to be outside full of light and the freshness of the spring. Because of the size I wanted to keep the colour combination subtle, light and more pastel like. I was more interested in the variety of textures and layers. I had no name in my head just then and then this feather landed on my canvas, on a new freshly painted area. My first reaction was to quickly pull of my gloves which were stuck on my hands…., but then I looked at it from a distance and I thought: Perfect! That is it! I continued working on the large painting FEATHER. It has its name and I couldn't think of any better.
French Bluebells
2018Beginning of summer 2018 I took a trip to France and of course after short stay there I came back loaded with inspiration. I still have plenty visual memories to inspire me for a long time but one of the most unexpected was these quick changing pictures of blue patches on the fields along the road. They come and go from a certain angle as the road go up and down. Beautiful bluebell flowers, millions of them connecting the sky and the fields and creating this symbiosis of a new dimension were the horizon is melted into the blues and greens.

The gorge El Tajo separates the old and the new town. Amazing and unforgettable views are offered from Puente Nuevo stone bridge spanning the gorge. Diptych, two canvases framed into one long high quality frame. The two canvases are divided with a aluminium strip which gives delicate shiny dividing accent in the middle of the composition. The frame is mat black on the sides and silver on the front.

2009Dit is een schilderij dat geïnspireerd is door de Rila Meren in Bulgarije. In mijn jeugd en later als volwassene heb ik in deze bergen geklommen en elke keer was ik weer overdonderd door de kristal heldere schoonheid van de natuur. Aan de top van deze bergen, die van 2500m naar 3500m boven zeespiegel liggen, zijn zeven prachtige meren, elk op een ander niveau. Om ze allemaal te zien moet je steeds hoger klimmen.
